Betty Almond Memorial Scholarship

We have lost a friend and Class of 1966 Hornet. Betty Almond was a fixture at Orange County High School over the past 34 years. Betty worked for nine principals as their secretary and talked to virtually every student at one time or another. She was the face, voice, and heart of OCHS, and her love for the school was inspiring for all those that knew her.

This scholarship fund will be a general studies scholarship based on need and not based on career and technical education.

​

A Celebration of Life honoring Betty was held on April 30, 2022, at the "Hornet Sports Center" at Orange County High School (OCHS) Orange, Virginia, at 1 PM.
