Joanne Davis Clift Memorial Scholarship
Joanne Davis Clift was the president of the Class of 1959 as well as the valedictorian. Upon graduation from OCHS Joanne pursued a career in nursing. She attended nursing school at St. Luke's Hospital in Richmond Virginia. Joanne worked hard to get her RN and never looked back. She worked for a number of physicians in the Richmond area before going to work for the State of Virginia as a nursing home inspector. Joanne had many opportunities because she was a registered nurse. In addition to nursing home inspector, she worked in hospital equipment sales, and later in life, she was a diabetes educator for Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Joanne was a proud graduate of Orange County High School and one of the first alumni to get involved with the OCHS Alumni Association. Her family is proud to sponsor a scholarship in her honor and memory to an OCHS graduate pursuing a nursing career.
